This error message has been all too common since the "Neo" redesign of 2013. GMF members have tried many things, and the "ritual" is a compilation of things that worked when people have tried them. But sometimes none of these "fixes" has worked. So, "your mileage may vary".
It is believed that the javascript running in your browser can get out of sync with the code in Yahoo Group's backend server, causing non-function and error messages about not being able to load content.
Try the actions in whatever order is easiest for you (Ctrl+F5 high on the list) and check after each step. You may not have to do them all (deleting cookies can be particularly inconvenient as it signs you out of Yahoo Groups and most other sites).
